Community cancellations and closures in the City of Kent

The Kent City Health Department (KCHD) is committed to notifying, educating, and preparing Kent City residents for Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19. KCHD continues to work with Kent State University, the Portage County Health District, and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) on plans and preparations for the safety of our communities.

Due to the Stay at Home Order issued Sunday, March 22nd by Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D., MPH, this order prohibits holding gatherings of any size and closes all nonessential businesses until Monday, April 6th at 11:59pm.

Visit the Ohio Department of Health website for information, resources, updates and a complete list of public health orders highlighting the types of establishments that will remain closed or limited to carry out and delivery food and beverage services during Governor Mike DeWine’s State of Emergency.

For questions on COVID-19, please call the ODH call center at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH.
